CALL TO ACTION - Share Your Story Regarding Recent Flooding in South Florida
Via Miami Climate Alliance The past few days have been challenging and serve as a reminder of needing to prepare and have a plan in place for disasters. When we say that climate change worsens every issue we face in Miami-Dade County this is what we mean.... lives are disrupted, public health & safety are jeopardized, property is destroyed and meanwhile we're expected to continue working and going about our daily lives. The purpose of this working group is to build/support neighborhood level leadership in preparing communities for extreme weather events and to increase equity, accountability, and community input within ALL government emergency planning/management efforts. WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU How have you weathered this flooding event? How have your family, friends, businesses, pets, etc been affected? Please take the time to complete this short survey to share your story. Our experiences matter and sharing them is crucial to planning efforts. Please share this survey with loved ones.
